Objectives: Female intimate rejuvenation has gained popularity, with hyaluronic acid fillers offering a minimally invasive solution for labia majora atrophy. This study analyzes three cases of augmentation using e.p.t.q. 300, showing improved volume, symmetry, and patient satisfaction. Mild, transient side effects were reported, with no severe complications. Results suggest that hyaluronic acid is a safe, effective alternative to surgery. Despite a small sample size, findings support further research on long-term efficacy and tissue response.
Introduction: Female intimate rejuvenation has gained popularity due to increasing awareness and the pursuit of well-being. Labia majora atrophy, common with aging and hormonal changes, leads to skin laxity and decreased hydration. Hyaluronic acid fillers have emerged as a minimally invasive alternative to restore volume, improve elasticity, and enhance skin quality with low complication risks. This study analyzes clinical cases of labia majora augmentation with hyaluronic acid, evaluating aesthetic and functional outcomes, patient satisfaction, and procedure tolerability.
Materials / method: This study included healthy women with labia majora laxity due to aging, weight loss, or asymmetry. Exclusion criteria were pregnancy, lactation, active infections, or autoimmune diseases. After local anesthesia, e.p.t.q. 300 hyaluronic acid was injected using a 22G x 50 mm cannula with a retroinjection technique. Volumes ranged from 1 to 2 ml per patient, ensuring uniform enhancement. Post-procedure assessments evaluated aesthetic outcomes, patient satisfaction, and adverse effects over a 30-day follow-up period.
Results: All patients showed increased labia majora volume, improved symmetry, and enhanced aesthetic appearance. Satisfaction was high, with positive impacts on self-esteem and comfort. Mild, transient side effects included slight edema and local sensitivity, resolving within 48 to 72 hours. No severe complications, infections, or contour irregularities were observed. After 30 days, volume preservation and sustained aesthetic improvement were noted. Before-and-after images confirmed the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid for intimate rejuvenation.
Conclusion: Hyaluronic acid labia majora augmentation proved to be a safe, effective, and minimally invasive option for intimate rejuvenation. The procedure resulted in significant aesthetic improvements, high patient satisfaction, and enhanced skin quality, with minimal and transient side effects. Compared to surgical techniques, it offers advantages such as quick recovery and lower complication risks. Despite the study’s small sample size, the findings highlight the potential of this technique, reinforcing the need for further research on long-term durability and tissue response.
