Objectives: This topic will cover how to use oral and topical finasteride properly.

Introduction: Oral finasteride, a type 2 isoenzyme of 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, is an FDA-approved drug for male androgenetic alopecia (AGA). About 2% of patients develop generally reversible sexual side effects e.g., low libido and erectile dysfunction. However, some reports revealed persistent sexual or psychological problems (Post Finasteride Syndrome) after discontinuation of the medication. The drug leaflet's warning includes these side effects.

Materials / method: Many recent investigations have reported psychological or personality side effects e.g., depression and anxiety. Physicians should avoid prescribing oral finasteride to patients with sexual or psychological problems. Alternatively, topical finasteride can be used. We have successfully used topical finasteride in many patients with sexual side effects from oral finasteride. This topic will cover how to use oral and topical finasteride properly.

Objectives: Regenerative medicine and the pluripotent nature of stem cells underlies their vast potential for treatment of androgenic alopecia. Regenerative science because of its feasibility, non -surgical approaches and economical aspects is becoming a promising option in the treatment of AGA. These techniques are easy, outpatient procedures ,often single session reduces cost and eliminates regulatory issues with the use of stem cells. This talk assess changes in the scalp and hair in a number of patients with AGA, after applying an autologous cellular suspension obtaining using Rigenera® system.

Introduction: Androgenetic alopecia, also called male- and female-pattern baldness, is an inherited condition that makes hair follicles more sensitive to the hormone dihydrotestosterone which shortens the growth phase and makes hair grow shorter and thinner. Hair density loss needs follow-up and continued treatment. Therapeutic options promoting hair growth have recently experienced a great rise, and hair regeneration has become one of the main goals of developing therapies. Treatment options are oral, topical, low level low level light therapies, hair transplant & recent advances in regenerative science.

Materials / method: In this study ,of the 30 patients that were treated with the Rigenera® system, 21 were males aged between 20-60 yrs and 9 were females aged between 25-58yrs. According to the scale of Hamilton, fifteen had type I - III, five had type IV and one had type V. According to the Ludwig scale, they all showed female pattern type I- III. The application was made on the scalp using mesotherapy. The variables assessed were: 1]Evidence of improvement by photographs taken before and 3 months after treatment. 2] Assessment of improvement according to grading 3] patients level of satisfaction.

Results: The analysis of the photographic evaluation showed an improvement of hair density in 25 patients, five patients didn't notice any change, and none of them noticed worsening of hair density. As for the subjective assessment of satisfaction, of the 30 patients treated, 20 were very satisfied, five patients were somewhat satisfied and five were unsatisfied. None of the patients reported any pain during the treatment

Conclusion: AGA is a disorder of multifactorial origin, with therapeutic options both in the rise and under development. Known options include the procedures of regenerative medicine with promising results in early stages of AGA and in those who do not want to opt for hair transplantation. An increase in hair thickness after application of one single therapeutic session has been objectified. Patients' subjective assessment of the results was positive, describing an improvement
mainly in thickness and hair loss, being a well-tolerated treatment concerning pain, and with no side effects.

Objectives: The objective of this presentation is to comprehensively assess the efficacy, effectiveness and safety of the the QR678 Neo - a novel, patented, evidence based hair growth factor formulation in reducing hair loss and enhancing hair growth.

Introduction: Alopecia affects 60% of the global population. The QR678 Neo is a novel bioengineered, recombinant formulation, consisting of a patented combination of growth factors, administered intradermally, capable of preventing hair loss
and stimulating hair growth.

Materials / method: A series of open-label, prospective, interventional studies using the intradermal administration of the QR678 Neo hair formulation into the scalp skin, once every 3 weeks for 8-10 sessions. The subject cohorts included males and females suffering from various etiologies of alopecia, including Androgenetic alopecia, PCOS induced hair loss, Alopecia Areata, persistent chemotherapy induced hair loss, post hair transplant related, and other cases. Hair pull test, videomicroscopic and photographic assessment along with patient satisfaction scores were used to discern the various clinical endpoints.

Results: Generalised curbing and curtailing of the hair loss was observed and appreciable hair growth seen in areas amenable for the same. There was an increase in terminal hair count and decrease in vellus hair count. Overall mean shaft diameter increased after 8-10 sessions of the QR678 Neo administration. Overall density of hair per square unit also showed a statistically significant increase.

Conclusion: The QR678 Neo hair formulation administration is a nouveau, evidence based and promising game changer for treating various male as well as female patterns of hair loss.
