Objectives: Purpose: Nasal tip asymmetries have vertical and horizontal dimensions. Our simplified classification system for nasal tip asymmetries is presented along with proposed methods for surgical correction.
Introduction: Nasal tip refinements and correction of nasal tip asymmetries in primary and secondary patients is still a problem especially for younger surgeons. We propose our protocol of progressive surgery of the nose based on the convinction that the best way to solve problem is always the simplest.
Materials / method: We presented “step by step” procedure for nasal tip correction. We used nondestructive suturing techniques and cartilage grafts to restore nasal tip symmetry for each deformity. An open rhinoplasty approach is advocated in all cases.
Results: All our results demonstrates that there is the right approach to every problems in tip refinement not to overtreat a deformity that we can solve in the simpliest way.
The result is that we use more aggressive surgical tecniques only in the right patients
Conclusion: Conclusion: A simplified classification system for nasal tip asymmetries is presented along with proposed methods for surgical correction. Preoperative nasal analysis for the rhinoplasty patient is not complete without recognition and characterization of asymmetries.
