Objectives: Dr Beatriz Molina will share her experience using combinations techniques for treatment of the periorbital area. This is, with no doubt a challenging risky area for complications. Dr Beatriz Molina will share her approach to avoid common pitfalls and complications and achieve natural lasting results.

Introduction: The role of face remodelling with injectables will continue to progress as our knowledge and insight into facial anatomy, aging, beauty, and aesthetic harmony continue to mature. Patients are more and more often requesting medical aesthetic treatments in the eye area in order to emulate the ‘flawless’ image projected by photo filters, challenging practitioners to push boundaries for treatments in periorbital area.

Materials / method: Dr Beatriz Molina will share her experience using combinations of needles and cannulas for treatment of the periorbital area.

Results: Dr Beatriz Molina will present her approach using a combination of various techniques to achieve satisfactory, natural results with small amounts of hyaluronic acid.

Conclusion: We know that using a combination of various techniques appears to be essential to achieve satisfactory, natural and lasting results, and that this has to be adapt to the different age groups.

Objectives: Learn to evaluate different types of laser and non laser treatments to treat periorbital laxity to increase patient satisfaction and decrease the risk of side effects.

Introduction: Periorbital rejuvenation procedures are amongst the most sought after treatments in cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology. Conventional and laser-assisted upper/lower blepharoplasty are the main surgical procedures to correct orbital fat protrusions associated with elastotic and structural skin sagging.

Materials / method: Ablative fractional and full beam laser procedures have proven quite effective in improving skin texture and moderate dermal laxity but the high level of sensitivity proper of delicate orbital and periorbital regions inevitably implies some form of analgesia, either local or systemic. Post-ablative laser recovery time could be quite consistent exposing Patients to relatively long-lasting tissue swelling and possible PIH. These almost inevitable side effects might contribute to reduce the number of potential Patients willing to rejuvenate their periorbital cosmetic units.

Results: Recently, with the advent of minimally invasive laser-assisted rejuvenating procedures, and their combination with well-established aesthetic treatments, such as botulinum toxin, periorbital rejuvenation has gained more popularity particularly among Patients reluctant to undergo more invasive procedures. Long pulse full and fractional beam 2940-nm non-ablative photo-thermal tissue bio-stimulation have showed consistent improvements of periorbital cosmetic units.

Conclusion: A variable series of laser procedures is necessary to progressively achieve a naturally looking peri-orbital rejuvenation with minimal side effects and complications.
