Objectives: The Nd:Yag 1064nm laser is a unique wavelength which has many applications in medicine particularly in the field of Dermatology.

Introduction: Besides its wide range of applications and safety when it comes to treatment of dark skin patients, there are some important considerations which need to be considered when utilizing this wavelength like efficacy on fine hair, more pain and small safety window when it comes to the treatment of vascular lesions.

Materials / method: One of the underutilized applications of this wavelength is the non ablative rejuvenation which is associated with no down time or complications.

Results: The Nd Yag 1064nm laser is one of the popular lasers in the market.

Conclusion: Its applications, precautions, complications will be discussed in an oral presentation.

Objectives: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of a fractional radiofrequency microneedle device compared to different laser resurfacing devices in the treatment of many aesthetic indications.

Introduction: Radiofrequency (RF) technology causes dermal heating via an alternating electric current, with minimal epidermal damage. It was found that histological evidence of neoelastogenesis and neocollagenesis following FMR sessions in normal skin. FMR adds this heat at controlled depths using microneedles, resulting in new collagen production and dermal thickening. Owing to minimal collateral damage

Materials / method: A literature review was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of fractional Microneedling RF compared to other laser devices like fractional CO2 laser, Fractional Er:YAG lasers and fractional non ablative lasers in different indications

Results: Various clinical studies have demonstrated the efficacy of RF in treating various skin conditions including striae, irregular texture, rejuvenation, rhytids, and acne scars and many studies have been evaluated fractional Microneedling radiofrequency in comparison to other laser devices regarding efficacy and safety.

Conclusion: Radiofrequency microneedling is an effective intervention in many aesthetic indications like efficacy of fractional resurfacing laser devices and safely in combination with other treatment modalities and in individuals with darker skin phototypes.
