Objectives: The objectives of this presentation is to review the peer-reviewed literature surrounding the use of both high-dose and micro-dose injections of neurotoxins.

Introduction: Introduction: More and more neurotoxins are becoming available in the US and around the world. While labelled indications for each one exist, more and more clinicians are using these toxins in an off-label fashion, either as high-dose or in micro-doses.

Results: The use of high-dose injections of neurotoxins has become very popular for those patients looking for longer lasting toxin outcomes. The use of micro-injections of toxins is showing promise as well in several common dermatological conditions – including facial redness, oily skin, enlarged pores, acne, and others. This trend is increasing and we will be seeing more and more data to support these new indications.

Objectives: The main objective of this presentation is to summarize the clinical uses of botulinum toxin.

Introduction: Botulinum toxin is a drug which can be both used to treat medical as well as cosmetical indications

Materials / method: A clinical experience will be shared

Results: Both dermatological, non-dermatological and cosmetic indications will be presented.

Conclusion: Botulinum toxin can be of benefit in both treating medical as well cosmetic indications.

Objectives: This presentation will cover the aethiology, the therapy and the prognosis of the different types of focal essential hyperhidrosis and secondary generalised hyperhidrosis respectively. A special focus is the treatment with botulinum toxin in differnt areas and the anesthesia after Kreyden for palmoplantar injections with botulinum toxin

Introduction: With an incidence of 5-8 % hyperhidrosis (dark figures is believed to be high) is a common disorder of the autonomic nervous system with onset mainly in puberty. Most cases are hereditary with a positive family history. We distinguish primary focal from secondary generalised HH.

Materials / method: Treatment of first choice for the primary form is botulinum toxin after local application of aluminum salts has been exhausted. For the palmoplantar HH the therapy of choice is the tapwater iontophoresis and if not effectfull or not faisable botulinum toxin injections. Secondary form is treated causally or symptomatically with medication.

Results: This presentation will cover all the different therapeutic modalities with botulinum toxin in the treatment of the different localisation of HH. The correct application of the iontophoresis is presented. A special focus will be the anaesthesia after Kreyden for treating palmoplantar HH with botulinum injections.

Conclusion: Botulinum toxin is the therapy of first choice in primary essential focal HH. However the correct treatment plan for excellent results is essential. This presentation will give an overview of the topic of HH and the different treatment prcudures including anaesthesia after Kreyden for palmoplantar HH

Objectives: Nowadays, ultrasonography is very useful to identify masseter muscle and surrounding structures for masseter reduction with botulinum toxin. And besides ultrasonography guided injection is much more precise and safe than blind injection. I would like to share my clinical experiences, and to provide a new insight for masseter and gland injection for safe and effective result with ultrasonography.

Introduction: Ultrasonography has been widely used in various medical fields, especially internal medicine, gynecology, and lately orthopedic medicine. However lately, ultrasonography has started to use in aesthetic medicine because most of aesthetic procedures are performed blindly, so there have been a lot of demands for precise and safe injections. Among aesthetic procedures, Botulinum toxin injection to masseter muscle is one of the most common procedures in Asia, but still it is performed blindly because masseter muscle is touchable by hand. Parotid gland is also the target of botulinum toxin treatment

Materials / method: Ultrasonography is used for masseter and parotid gland botulinum toxin injection. Split test of ultrasonography guided injection and blind injection demonstrates differences. Ultrasonography guided botulinum injection was performed for patients who have masseter hypertrophy and parotid gland enlargement.

Results: Ultrasonography is very useful to identify masseter muscle and parotid gland. And guided injection is more safe and effective than blind injection.

Conclusion: Ultrasonography guided botulinum toxin injection is precise and safe.

Objectives: To describe different indications for lip treatment with botulinum toxin (BTX)

Introduction: When it comes to lip treatment – except for gummy smile – BTX plays still an inferior role compared to other interventions. BTX can be used either to modulate muscular activity as well as gland activity.

Materials / method: Eminence based supported by a quick literature search

Results: Four indications come into focus: gummy smile, vertical lip lines, upper lip volume (lip flip) and salivary glands (mucocele or mucous cyst). Most evidence can be found on gummy smile, less on lip lines, lip flip and non on mucoceles. In general, the treatment of gummy smile works very well. The treatment of lip lines is often hampered by asymmetries and functional challenges so that it is mostly used in combination with other interventions as fillers. The treatment of mucoceles is less known. Based on personal experience it can work quite well.

Conclusion: Several indications for lip treatment with BTX exists. One should be award of these pearls and try to include them in the own portfolio when needed.
