Objectives: 1. To learn the exosomal innovation as next gen regenerative aesthetics based on regeneration as well as anti-inflammation
2. To learn the product concept of Exobalm based exosomes and its formation
3. To learn clinical benefits of a new product Exobalm
Introduction: In 2020, Dr. Diane Duncan, a world-renowned plastic surgeon, developed and tested a formulation of ExoSCRT® Exosome mixed with a few more ingredients to treat radiation-induced burns of a breast cancer survivor.
A new exosome-based product, Exobalm, improved serious pain, bleeding, blistering, and itching from radiation burns.
ExoCoBio collaborated to finalize the formulation which can be applied for wound healing or burns related to any kind of energy-based treatment in clinics.
Materials / method: 1. Exobalm was applied for patients of dermatomyositis, radiation burns, and RF microneedling.
2. In addition, one clinical study was done as follows: A single-center, single-blind, randomized, prospective exploratory clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Exobalm™ in breast cancer patients receiving radiotherapy.
Results: 1. Exobalm was effective and safe for a variety of clinical practices by promoting wound healing and shortening downtime.
2. Dermatomyositis was significantly improved for the patient who has not responded to 5-FU and steroids.
3. The clinical study showed significant improvement of TEWL, erythema index, pain, and itching.
Conclusion: Exosome-containing formation is effective and safe for various kinds of burns in clinical environments.
