Objectives: Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment is widely used around the world.
Here I explain how we could do it in an easy and safe way in a private clinic of dermatology.
Introduction: Platelet- Rich Plasma has been used for decades in different fields of medicine as a growth factor source for improving tissue regeneration.
In Dermatology, is widely applied in aesthetic treatments as antiaging technique as much as in the clinical field as regenerative tool in several pathologies like androgenétic alopecia, alopecia areata, lichen sclerosus vulvares, acne scars, burn scars and chronic wounds.
Materials / method: It is a simple technique, easy to perform in the clinical practice, without any serious risk to the patient if done properly.
Still, the procedure of collecting the blood, centrifugation and application of a biological product like PRP obliges to a rigorous aseptic technique in order to avoid contamination and secondary infection to the patient.
In the domain of private practice dermatology, keeping the procedure safe, easy and without complications is a must.
Results: With more than 10 years of experience with PRP and with several trials made in our clinic, we will show how to do it, in a practical point of vue.
Conclusion: The application of PRP is a useful treatment in clinical and aesthetic Dermatology .
It is an easy technique to perform with good results for both patients and doctors.
