Objectives: Microneedling radiofrequency for body tightening.
Introduction: Microneedling radiofrequency has become an increasingly popular technique for face and neck rejuvenation, but also for different body indications.
To be effective, sufficient amount of energy has to be delivered in the dermis to heat up and induce collagen coagulation leading to production of new collagen and deep dermal remodeling.
Materials / method: Microneedling RF technology, main body indication and my clinical protocol will be discussed.
Results: Insulated needles and adjustable needle depth allows to deliver RF energy at
selected dermal depth whereas the size of the coagulated zone is determined by the
amount of RF energy and the time it is delivered, but also depends on skin impedance. Monitoring actual skin impedance and measuring real amount of energy delivered can lead to more precise control of dermal coagulation and more consistent results.
Conclusion: Microneedling radiofrequency allows to reduce skin laxity in an effective manner with limited downtime and risks.
