Objectives: Midface soft tissue aging process lead to their ptosis and consequent loss of volume: that determiners unpleasant deepening of the nasolabial folds and jowl formation. Facial tissue suspension with subdermal Aptos® P(LA-CP) HA barbed threads allow to treat the aforementioned flaws by means of a minimally invasive, closed procedure
Introduction: The facial aging process produces dermatocalasis of facial soft tissues which accounts for the distinctive signs of facial ageing.
Sub-dermal suspension with threads allows to lift sagged tissues and its repositioning in order to gain back the volumes and to treat the wrinkle deepeing occurred with ptosis
Materials / method: A case serie of patients treated for mild to moderate ptosis of the mid and lower face tissues is shown , with proper follow up, in order to asses the rejuvenating effects of midface and jawline suspension by means of P(LA-CP)HA Aptos® threads, and its longevity
Results: Full face rejuvenation can be achieved successfully by means of barbed thread subdermal tissue suspension in order to provide adequate long-lasting results and to avoid invasive or major surgical treatment
Conclusion: Thread lifting is a powerful tool which allows to successfully deal with mild to moderate ptosis and to treat aging process of the entire face
