Hair implant by FUE technique, personal experience

Objectives: Reporting the experience of the author using the surgical technique of hair implant without linear scar by the technique of follicular unit extraction (FUE).

Introduction: Hair is a source of proud for both men and women. Considering the meaning of hair, it is easy to understand why its loss often causes intense emotional distress, and why people look for hair restoration. Among the techniques for obtaining hair follicles, it has been highlighting the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

Materials / method: It was performed the retrospective observational study of 19 patients consecutively, submitted the hair transplant technique FUE, who desired to improve the bald area; without the addition of scars in the occipotparietal area, from October 2016 to July 2018.

Results: Hair transplantation of UFs requires specific training. It presents in its donor area an adequate camouflage, even when a large number of UFs are extracted. Its recovery is fast. Once the surgical team's involvement increases, the quality of the treatment improves consequently the satisfaction of patients.

Conclusion: With the present study, it is concluded that, relating the author's experience to the data of the current medical literature, the follicular unit extraction technique (FUE) is reproducible, with low complication rates and progressively satisfactory.

Micrograft technique

Objectives: The Rigenera® procedure is a clinical approach to obtain autologous micrografts ready to use and able to promote derma and bone regeneration, as already reported in previous studies.

Introduction: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a hereditary androgen-dependent, progressive thinning of scalp hair affecting 60–70% of the adult population worldwide. Pharmacological treatment offers moderate results and hair transplantation represents the only permanent treatment option, even if it requires a fairly invasive surgical procedure.

Materials / method: Aim: to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of micrografts obtained by Rigenera® procedure in the treatment of AGA performing a clinical and histological evaluation. To make this, one hundred patients were treated with autologous micrografts and clinically evaluated after 4, 6 and 12 months from treatment. Scald dermoscopy and histological analysis were performed to assess the hair growth and histological appearance of the scalp

Results: Hair growth and density were improved at all indicated times showing an increase of total hair count and density with an increase and reduction of anagen and telogen phase, respectively. Scalp dermoscopic analysis also showed an improvement of hair density and histological analysis showed a clear amelioration of the scalp, development of new hair follicles and a beginning of cuticle formation.

Conclusion: Autologous micrografts improve the hair growth and density suggesting their use in the AGA treatment.

Objectives: El principal objetivo es :

son enteramente prácticos como se aprecia en los videos
Mostrar la técnica donde se rotula MINIMAMENTE INVASIVA.

Introduction: El trasplante de pestañas y cejas requiere conocer los tópicos generales de la medicina por cuanto estos procedimientos son enteramente de practica médica
un repaso de la antomia
un examen clínico y laboratorial como la orientación psicológica
el conocimiento semiológico para la selección del paciente.

Materials / method: INSTRUMENTOS QUIRÚRGICOS
Todos de estructura delicada y fina como para manipular folículos piloso y desarrollar
cirugía en párpados y cejas donde la vascularización e inervación es delicada

El método es de transficción y ya no de previa incisión.

Results: Los resultados son calificados como exitosos por su pronta recuperación
y la no presencia de equimosis edemas y dolor

Conclusion: Es una avance en estética quirúrgica donde la dermatología es la base de los
conocimientos normales y patológicos para desarrollar una CIRUGIA DERMATOLOGICA MINIMAMENTE INVASIVA-

Lowering of the implantation hairline in wide forehead

Objectives: To describe a technique to lower the frontal high hair line in female patients and get a better proportion of the forehead.

Introduction: The hairline lowering or forehead reduction is usually performed on female patients.
It is a very effective method for lowering a high hairline. The scalp advancement surgery allow us to reduce approximately 2.0 cms of the hairline. It is a very conservative, predictable and secure procedure with excellent result.

Materials / method: Videos and diagrams are used in our presentation, for better understanding of the technique used.

Results: All presentation will show the technique used, with photograph pre surgical, and postoperative.

Conclusion: The audience after the presentation will learn and understand the technique that I use to solve the frontal high hairline in female patients.
