Objectives: el melasma es uno de los motivos de consulta diaria en la consulta dermatologica, es multifactorial , su tratamiento es largo y dificil; con las nuevas investigaciones se ha observado un gran componete vascular en su origen, desarrollo y evolucion, por lo cual el tratamiento laser resulta indispensable , ya que NO existe ningunproducto topico que quite este componente vascular, ahi es donde los laseres y EAD, tienen un papel preponderante en su tratamiento.

Introduction: el melasma anteriormente solo se le conocia con una mancha y pigmento, actualmente se le ve ya como una enfermedad inflamatoria , donde el componente vascular juega un gran papel en su crecimiento y en su pronostico al tratarse.

Materials / method: en la presente presentacion se dara una explicacion de por que usar laser, que tipo de laser o EAD, para cual tipo de melasma, donde y cuando es la mejor indicacion, para tener un mejor resultado final en cada caso clinico.

Results: se presentan varios casos con sus resultados clinicos avalados con fotografias clinicas, cama antera 3D , seguimiento en todo su tratamiento.

Conclusion: en la actualidad el melasma siguie siendo dificil su tratamiento, con el advenimiento de los laseres y EAD, se abre una luz , en el tratamiento de este , con fundamentos cientificos que lo apoyan y resultados clinicos muy confiables.
