Objectives: learn the concept to manage skin envelope in Asian rhinoplasty
Introduction: Skin covering is an important issue in rhinoplasty, and East Asian usually have moderate to thick skin covering. Various surgical techniques are mainly managing cartilage framework of the nose, but the result may not be satisfied by the patient.
Materials / method: Excision of redundant skin-soft tissue envelope, build up a stable cartilage framework foundation
Results: light reflex of nose is improved after the procedure and following the aesthetic rule
Conclusion: Skin covering should be matched to the bony-cartilaginous framework in oder to have the optimal result
