Objectives: To demonstrate the techniques in cocktail mixtures for skin boosters to achieve a "glass skin look"
To share specific outcomes in cases addressing skin laxity, pore size, pigmentation and skin texture.
To show how skin rejuvenation is achieved in terms of a novel technique combining toxins, hyaluronic acid, depigmenting agents and anti oxidants on top of other known traditional methods of doing fillers and toxins.
Introduction: The desire to combat the signs of aging, to achieve and to preserve the image of youthful, pore less, radiant, hydrated and luminous skin has caused a rave in social media called " glass skin" . Skin boosters which target the intradermal layers of the skin repairs, restores and rejuvenates the signs of ageing . A skin cocktail tailored per individual to increase skin turgor and elasticity , diminish pore size, tighten, hydrate and lift the skin will be detailed with before and after images in a variety of patients in the range of 40s to 80s .
Materials / method: Patients advised to stop taking vitamins, blood thinners 3 days prior to procedure. A painkiller or tranexamic acid may be taken on the day of the procedure . Face is cleansed and anesthesia cream should be generously applied to the entire for for 30 to 45 mins . Skin cocktail is then mixed tailored to each patient which may differ in quantity of each ingredient . A 9 pin needle is utilized to inject a total of 2.5-3 cc cocktail with an automated injector machine. Patient advised not to wash face for 24 hours, avoid heat and sweating.
Results: after a single session, with a downtime of about a few hours and some with occasional pinpoint bruising Procedure did not have any major adverse effect such as irritation , swelling nor dermatitis. The general effect of a tight , luminous, well hydrated skin was achieved within 3- 7 days. in all patients. Some patients needing additional intramuscular doses of neuromodulators or fillers may be done after 1 week. Procedure may be repeated every 3 months depending on the patients desire. However, effect of the previous treatment is still evident over time even with a single treatment.
Conclusion: Skin boosters using a cocktail of non crosslinked hyaluronic acid, growth factors, amino acids, peptides, dimethylaminoethanol(DMAE), tranexamic acid, idebenone, N-acetyl glucosamine, vitamin C and neuromodulators in different combinations result in a hydrated, tight , refined , lifted , brighter and luminous skin in a single treatment with results lasting for 3-6 months .
