Objectives: Be familiar with optimal reconstruction techniques for defects of the vermilion
Introduction: Tumors of the mucous part of the lip make up for a large part of skin tumors of this region, in particular squamous cell carcinoma of the lower lip and its precancerous lesions.
Materials / method: presentation of cases
Results: Surgical treatment should always preferably always be carried out with micrographic surgery. Reconstructions are, if possible, performed within this aesthetic sub-unit and include mucosal advancement flaps and mucosal rotation flaps. Wedge excisions including the underlying tissues are only rarely indicated.
Conclusion: The techniques described will allow for optimal results after vermilion reconstruction
