Objectives: Labial barcode : an unconspicuous effective treatment by the AH-BTX combination technique
Materials / method: Based on our experience on the treatment of "facial scratches" by the combination of botulinum toxin with very superficial low-viscosity hyaluronic acid injections, we have extended this indication to the labial bar code whose best treatment is for us resurfacing by peeling, certainly effective but at the cost of a social eviction of ten days and a frequent depigmentation for the phototypes over III. We offer the deposit through a 25G cannula of a mixture of low concentrated and low viscosity hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin throughout the upper lip by two para-commissural approaches.
Results: So we act both on the hypertonicity of the orbicularis and the consecutive crumpling of the lip without giving the impression of an excessive lip so dreaded by patients. Of course, if the lip is atrophic, an additional volume becomes indispensable and is done by the same way. The main difficulty is to determine the dose of botulinum toxin and the viscosity of hyaluronic acid that must be adapted case by case. If the deepest wrinkles still hinder the patient, a complementary direct injection of a suitable hyaluronic acid will be suggested after the third week.
