Objectives: Show the different procedures that can be performed on the face to increase and reduce volumes, ranging from different types of facial implants, fatty filling, and ostectomies
Introduction: Maxillofacial surgery is one of the subspecialties of plastic surgery. This subspecialty not only acts and manages to improve malformations, tumor resection, trauma, and sequelae of trauma and burns, but its principles can be used for facial aesthetic purposes.
Materials / method: 25 years of experience.
These are procedures in which ones use carved silicone implants, preformed silicone implants, expanded polyethylene implants, polytetrafluoroethylene implants, fat grafts, and gonial and mental ostectomies.
Results: The results obtained with isolated techniques and with combined techniques are shown.
Conclusion: Colleagues who perform facial beautification procedures are encouraged to become familiar with maxillofacial surgery procedures to obtain better results in their surgeries.
