Objectives: This abstract explores the benefits, methodologies, suitable patient identification and impacts of the innovative non-invasive browpexy surgical technique introduced by Dr Mikhail Suturin.
Introduction: Browpexy contributes significantly to enhancing facial aesthetics by revitalising the brow area. However, traditional procedures, primarily reliant on skin excision, often result in lengthy recovery and potential complications such as scarring and consequential alopecia. With the advancement in non-invasive surgical techniques, the field of plastic surgery is undergoing a transformation, offering patients an efficient alternative shortening recovery time and improving cosmetic and long-term outcomes.
Materials / method: A clinical study was undertaken to examine the outcomes and potential complications of Non-invasive browpexy techniques. The medical records of 115 patients have been analysed, comprising 103 women and 12 men aged 25-71 years who had the procedure between December 2021 and November 2024. Follow-up periods ranged from 1.5 to 25 months. The browpexy techniques involved skin fixation, orbicularis oculi muscle and fascia fixation through several micro punch entry points without additional skin excision. Skin folds appearing post-procedure around the entry points smoothed out within two to six week
Results: Non-invasive browpexy has proven effective for improving brow position and rejuvenating appearance. Benefits include no scarring, quick recovery, and natural looking outcomes. This study focused on the efficacy and safety of the procedure, patient satisfaction. Complications included infection (1.2%), bleeding (1.3%), swelling (21.3%) and suture extrusion (4.7%). Measurements of facial dimensions, patient complaints demonstrated that 92.1% of patients yielded positive cosmetic outcomes. When comparing pre/postoperative photographs, 95.2% of patients achieved positive cosmetic results.
Conclusion: Non-invasive browpexy technique developed by Dr. Mikhail Suturin offers a viable alternative to traditional surgical procedures, giving austhetic surgeons a safe and effective method for brow rejuvenation. It has yielded positive results, high patient satisfaction levels, and significant improvements in facial aesthetics. Continued exploration of advancements and innovations in non-invasive browpexy will enable plastic surgeons to improve their techniques and achieve optimal patient results.
