Objectives: To compare the efficacy and cost-benefit between the use of PDO threads vs Calcium hydroxylapatite for the treatment of rejuvenation, lifting and contour of the lower third of the face.

Introduction: Aging process is the result of morphological and physiological changes occurring in the skin, skeleton, and facial adipose tissue, ligaments, and muscles. A prominent labiomandibular sulcus, the jowl deformity and submental laxity are frequent findings as a result of changes in fibro- connective tissue arrangement, the stability of mental ligament that serves as hammock for the fat with each compartment (superficial and deep).Jawline reshaping has become an indispensable component in lower face rejuvenation and different techniques and procedures are used to achieve harmonious results.

Materials / method: Pictures and evaluation/assessment of the anatomy, comparative tables and examples of different techniques using both calcium hydroxylapatite and PDO threads.

Results: Before and after in patients who have received one of these treatments

Conclusion: Lower third reshaping has become an important component of modern facial rejuvenation. Mastering different procedures and techniques is indispensable to achieve good results and both patient and physician satisfaction

Objectives: Introduce a technique which is capable to harmonize the full face with a few ampoules and to induce stem cells from the interaction between hyaluronic acid and fat cells.

Introduction: Performing face filling is an art. Improving appearance naturally is always our goal. Several techniques have recently emerged to harmonize the face. In these new techniques 5-15 ampules are used in a single patient in a single session.
We present a new technique that is easy to perform, using 2 to 4 ampoules only and can improve the entire face showing progressive results.

Materials / method: More than 700 patients among 20-70 years old, mainly ranging from 30-50 year old, received 2-4 hyaluronic acid ampoules in the full face. The patients were previously marked with triangles in a delta shape towards traction vectors for rejuvenating effect. Within these deltas we applied little quantities of hyaluronic acid in subcutaneous layers in a retroinjectable way.

Results: More than 90% of the patients were satisfied with the treatment and said the results improve after 3-6 months of the first aplication.

Conclusion: This technique prometes high satisfaction levels, progressive better results using a few ampoules harmonizing the whole face.
The progressive effect is probably due to studies which suggest the interaction between the hyaluronic acid and the fat cells stimulating mesenchymal adipocites stem cells.
