Vascular resurfacing: a novel and comprehensive treatment for vascular targets using a next-generation long-pulsed 532 nm system
Objectives: To understand different parameter for cryogenic long pulsed 532 nm laser in the treatment of facial telangiecasis and post laser erythema .
Introduction: Having high absorption coefficiency in hemoglobin, 532 nm with very with short pulse duration could disrupt very small invisible micro vessels without purpura. Therefor, 2-3 passes laser energy could reapplied at the same session to treat variable size of vessels at on session.
Materials / method: 13 patients with facial telangiectasis with or without extensive erythema were recruited and treated with 532 nm 2-3 passes with different parameter at one side of face to compare the other side treated with same parameter for 2-3. passes. patient were evaluated and compare4d at 3. months.
Results: All patients had better clearance in telangiectasis and erythema. . No significant side effect was noted on both sides.
Conclusion: Cryogenic long pulsed 532 nm laser can disrupt not only visible facial telangiectasis but also invisible ultra-small or lager vessels under skin at one session thus leads to better clearance and less session.
