Objectives: The laser unit in the Department of Dermatology of Erasmus University Medical Center acts as a reference center for other dermatologists in the Netherlands. Because of this, rare and interesting cases are being seen. This presentations gives a kaleidoscopic view of the cases that are treated there.

Objectives: Comprender los últimos avances científicos en esta compleja enfermedad en cuanto a su fisiopatología
Entender el mecanismo de acción de las nuevas moléculas aprobadas para el tratamiento de esta patología

Introduction: La dermatitis atópica es una enfermedad sistémica que afecta de forma importante la calidad de vida de quienes la padecen.
Al ser una enfermedad crónica y recurrente, es importante conocer cuales pueden ser los factores que desencadenan la patología y como desde las opciones terapeuticas actuales podemos controlar estos síntomas.

Materials / method: Revisión de la literatura con los últimos avances en la fisiopatología y terapéutica de la enfermedad.

Conclusion: Podemos controlar de una forma adecuada la enfermedad atópica severa entendiendo su fisiopatología y comprendiendo cuales son los pasos inmunoespecíficos que podemos trabajar como blancos terapéuticos para manejar esta enfermedad.
