Objectives: This study aims to introduce and describe the "S" technique, a minimally invasive gluteal enhancement approach that combines calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) and hyaluronic acid (HA) to improve volume, projection, lifting, and skin quality. By strategically applying both fillers in different planes, the technique seeks to achieve natural, long-lasting, and aesthetically harmonious results.
Introduction: The demand for non-surgical gluteal enhancement has risen significantly in recent years, driven by patient preference for less invasive procedures. Traditional methods, such as fat grafting and implants, carry risks of surgical complications and extended recovery periods. The combination of CaHA, a proven biostimulator, with HA dermal filler, a volumizing agent, presents an innovative alternative. The "S" technique aims to optimize gluteal contouring by targeting specific anatomical zones for enhanced projection, structure, and skin firmness.
Materials / method: This approach involves two key steps: CaHA injection for biostimulation and structural support, followed by HA application for targeted volume and contour refinement. Four strategic injection points (S1, S2, S3, and S4) are marked in an "S" pattern on each gluteal side. CaHA with Lattice Pore microsphere technology is injected at a 1:1 dilution (two syringes per side) to promote collagen stimulation. HA is then applied in multilayer fashion, with S1 addressing hip dips (if needed) and S2 providing projection. Standardized pre- and post-procedure 2D and 3D imaging were used for evaluation.
Results: Initial findings demonstrate improvements in gluteal contour, projection, and skin quality, with increased firmness and elasticity due to collagen stimulation. Aesthetic outcomes were considered highly satisfactory by both patients and evaluators, with a natural and balanced enhancement effect. No adverse events were reported, reinforcing the safety profile of this combined technique.
Conclusion: The "S" technique represents an effective, minimally invasive strategy for gluteal beautification, combining the volumizing benefits of HA with the biostimulating regenerative properties of CaHA. The approach enhances natural contour and skin quality while ensuring patient satisfaction and safety. Further studies with long-term follow-up will be conducted to assess the sustained benefits of this technique.
