Introduction: Autologous treatment options are gaining more and more interest in aesthetic medicine. Microfat, Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) and PRP can be quickly prepared and applied on an outpatient basis.

Materials / method: This contribution features a presentation of a minimally invasive technique, using the Arthrex ACP Double Syringe for preparation / injection of Microfat, SVF and PRP.

Results: Clinical results demonstrate the efficacy of SVF and PRP for indications focusing on repair and healing (e.g. treatment of alopecia, scars, actinic elastosis, skin rejuvenation). Cases using Microfat, as a biological filler, result in regenerative effects on the surrounding tissue.

Conclusion: Microfat, SVF and PRP are effective tools for autologous regeneration and rejuvenation.

Objectives: We demonstrate tissue growth in subcutaneous injection of plant derived rhCollagen gel in rat model. Cell proliferation and angiogenesis was evident within the injected gel committed which coincided with natural sustained release of growth factors including vasculo-endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) in a course of up to 45 days. We have tested different rhCollagen/HA formulations that displayed constant and low injection force even when injected via 32G needle, indicating ease of use for accurate deployment of the gel at selected sites.

Introduction: Hyaluronic acid have proved itself as a good dermal filler. However, its limited ability to promote cell proliferation and angiogenesis result in limited tissue integration which may cause face distortion, particularly in extreme face expressions. Collagen comprises the major component of connective tissues. However tissue extracted collagen suffer from many disadvantages, including inconsistency immunogenicity and risk of disease transmission. We are producing clinically tested human recombinant collagen in tobacco plants.

Materials / method: Plant derived rhCollagen was fibrillated and cross-linked by carbodiimide. Female Sprague Dawley rats were injected with 0.5 ml of rhCollagen gel at the dorsal plane of the rat’s back. Animals were sacrificed at time-points 1, 7, 14, 21, 30 and 45 days post-treatment and implants were assessed by histopathology and PDGF and VEGF content by ELISA. rhCollagen/HA formulations were prepared and injection force was tested by injection via 32G needle

Conclusion: Plant derived rhCollagen promote tissue regeneration and holds great potential to augment the performance of HA derived dermal fillers by promoting tissue integration. Furthermore, rhCollagen maybe used as a matrix for PRP as already have been proven clinically and possibly for stem cells from different source in tissue augmentation.

Objectives: Oxygen is a component, which is indispensable for the life. Without oxygen the death is assured. Although, everybody knows this fact a lot of medical acts forgot to take care of it, which are responsible of lot of troubles. Indeed, during the cell respiration the glucose oxidation by oxygen gives carbon dioxide, water and energy. This energy also called ATP is necessary for cellular metabolism.

Introduction: We have identified a marine molecule called extracellular hemoglobin coming from a marine worm, which is able to deliver oxygen in this animal leaving on the intertidal areas on the Atlantic coast in France between the North Sea and Biarritz. This molecule called M101 was developed in the medical device named HEMO2life®. We have showed that this product was very efficient to protect organs before transplantation added to organ preservation solution.

Materials / method: M101 is manufactured under GMP process using Arenicola marina farmed in the Ferme Marine de Noirmoutier. Final product is called HEMO2life and could be used for cells, tissues and organ preservations.

Results: A clinical trial performed on 60 patients waiting kidney grafts showed a delay graft function reduced roughly by tree between the two kidneys harvested on the same donor with and without HEMO2life® and grafted on recipients. In 2018, a first worldwide was realized in France by the Pr. Lantieri to Georges Pompidou hospital in Paris, France. Indeed, it was the first time that a patient received a second graft face. This surgery was realized with HEMO2life and showed a very nice result Furthermore, we have developed dressing incorporating M101 making a product called HEMHealing®.

Conclusion: Hence we showed that M101 can delivered oxygen at different biological levels, cellular, tissues and organs and could be used in different surgical acts in order to conserve biological material once disconnected to vascular circulation as fat cells for breath reconstruction, skin grafts in plastic surgery or organ preservation in order to replace a non functional organ.
