Objectives: To review management options for patients with textured surface breast implants concerned about BIA-ALCL
Introduction: BIA-ALCL remains a concern for many patients with textured surface breast implants. This presentation will review the authors approach to management options using up-to-date information
Materials / method: The authors has managed patient concerns about BIA-ALCL in various ways that include observation, explantation only, explantation with replacement with smooth implant or autologous tissue as well as capsulectomy when indicated
Results: Patient satisfaction has been high following appropriate management
Conclusion: It is important to advocate for patient and perform a service that will address their concerns. Patients have the right to have breast implants and have the right to have them removed. Capsulectomy should be considered when indicated and safe
