Objectives: Dermatochalasis of sub-mental and jawline soft tissues accounts for one of the distinctive signs of facial aging. The introduction of sub-dermal suspension with Aptos® Needle2G thread allows to treat skin excess under the chin and toreshape sagged tissues of the jawline by means of a minimally invasive, closed procedure
Introduction: Sub-mental soft tissue ptosis and jawline dermatochalasis used to be treated by means of surgical neck lift and liposuction techniques.
The unique Aptos® Needle 2G thread allows to avoid or post-pone these major surgeries, providing the only outpatient, minimally-invasive treatment for this demanding anatomical site.
Materials / method: A case serie of patients treated for sub-mental fullness and jawline ptosis is presented, with proper follow up, in order to show the technical detail and the efficacy of this method of non-surgical outpatient tissue suspension, its safety and the longevity of the results
Results: The presented cases and their follow-up allow to appreciate the immediate effect and the long lasting results of this technique aimed to treat the sub-mental and submandibular soft tissue ptosis along with jawline contour definition
Conclusion: The limited morbidity and shorter recovery time of non-surgical neck and sub-mental suspension by Aptos® Neddle2G thread allow to achieve immediate results with acceptable longevity, and to delay or avoid, if needed, major surgical interventions.
