Objectives: Our goal is to show young doctors how to avoid common mistakes that can lead to dermal fillers complications and thus prevent them.
Introduction: The use of fillers in facial aesthetics has grown exponentially. Although they are rare, it is obvious that the number of complications is also increasing.
There is a tripod to achieving success:
1-the correct patient
2-the ideal product
3-the competent doctor!
Materials / method: Everything starts well if the patient is correctly evaluated and has a real indication to perform the procedure.
A detailed anamnesis is essential to rule out the main contraindications.
Knowledge of existing products and their main characteristics that will allow the correct choice for each area, each plane, each skin type.
Conclusion: Finally, you must master the medical act from the beginning with proper skin preparation. The most perfect asepsis. Training for good application. And never forget that you are a doctor, and you will succeed if you establish a good doctor-patient relationship and remain ethical and honest.
