Objectives: Objective of the presentation: To describe scientific literature and my technique for lips augmentation.

Introduction: Some facial structures, such as the lips, are essential for facial aesthetics. Full lips are normally associated to a youthful face, but their shape and volume depend also on genetically inherited characteristics.

Materials / method: They are composed by different anatomical structures, and minimal changes can cause great aesthetic impact.

Results: Deep knowledge of anatomy and accurate aesthetic analysis are mandatory to perform a patient-tailored treatment. A perfect lip is obtained when the patient looks natural, and the treatment does not leave any evident, exaggerated, or bizarre alteration in the lips’ structure. Respecting the patient anatomy, adjusting lips shape, projections and proportions, establishing a suitable lip volume for each particular patient are key points to refine the lips. Gender features should also be considered.

Conclusion: Different materials can be used to perform lips augmentation. However, hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers are the most frequently used to treat this area. It presents an excellent safety profile since it shows no antigenic specificity for species or tissues, having low potential for allergic or immunogenic reactions.

Objectives: To analyse the improvement by treating the signs of ageing the perioral area with HA fillers

Introduction: Perioral area with good shape and volume add to the beauty and can create a good impact. Fillers can correct, enhance and restore the lips and perioral area.The Perioral region refers to the area of the face from the sub nasal and nasolabial folds to the lower border of the soft tissues contour of the chin. With ageing one can see changes in this area like perioral rhytides, development of melomental folds, pre jowl sulcus and pebbled chin.

Materials / method: Patient present with age related changes of the lower face in the form of development of marionette lines / lip droop, loss of volume in the chin area, development of mental crease, perioral wrinkles and pebbled chin. We treat these with HA fillers to replenish volume, lift skin folds and augment tissue thereby restoring the perioral region to its previous aesthetic appeal.

Results: Enhancement or corection of the perioral region with hyaluronic acid fillers adds to the beauty of the face.The perioral region functions as a composite unit and should be treated together for a more complete results.

Conclusion: The perioral region change rapidly under the influence of the ageing process, gravity environment & life style.
Perioral rejuvenation with fillers is crucial to the aesthetic appearance of the face.
Enhancement & restoration of the lower face can be achieved effectively with Hyaluronic acid fillers.

Objectives: Lip Augmentation has become a very common treatment in our young patient group for beautification. In the older patient generation lip augmentation is a very useful tool to reverse signs of aging. Due to good but also some visual overdone results of Lip augmentation in younger patients it has turned into a very fearful treatment for older patients in the caucasian ethnic group. Specially this ethnic group is aging early and heavily in the perioral region and despite all good augmentation techniques around the mouth a lip augmentation is of great importance to reverse all signs of aging

Conclusion: In this lecture you will learn safe and easy to perform injection techniques for our elderly patients. Lip augmentation is used in combinations as a wonderful reverse aging tool for the perioral region with a natural result in all ages.
