Objectives: This method aims at comparing results of the GASTROPLASTY with partial stomach PLICATION (GP) to the sleeve’s and bypass’ ones regarding slimming, morbidity and mortality.
GP: On a 22-yearlong series, from March 1996 to February 2018, results evaluated until July 15th, 2017.

Introduction: Method: Reversible, non-invasive and adjustable
- GP. Band place via rear gastric access. Release of the gastric fundus
Band secured with sero-gastric stitches on the oesophageal muscle, anterior valve confection 6-7 stitches. The stomach partial plication reduces the gastric cavity below the band. The lower part of the front wall of the oesophagus is entirely stripped of fat and vascular and nervous branches of the left vagus nerve. Gastric evacuation is slowed down.

- This interior valve stimulates the nervous systems of satiety (O’BRIEN) abdominal oesophageal wall.
Combined with

Materials / method: multidisciplinary support provided by medical and surgical teams comprising nutritionists, psychiatrists and psychoanalysts, strongly focusing on psychological factors and the sport practice.

- Inflations and deflations of the band performed by the surgeon in radiology, judging by himself the band functioning, the weight loss, the adaptation and acceptance of the band by the patient (according to the weight loss).

Results: 1.102 patients with an average BMI of 42,7.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop a step-by-step technique that will guide surgeons in order to perform this artistic liposculpting (4D hi-definition) safely and with great results.

Introduction: The high definition liposuction represents an advanced and more artistic approach to the conventional liposuction.
Performed with the aid of an energy delivering device that through special probes emits ultrasound vibrations, it eases and expedites the fat-removal process and at the same time provides a better tissue tightening effect. The technique also reveals the underlying musculature and enhances the definition of the muscles and tendons (rectus abdominis, pec. major, deltoid etc.)

Materials / method: We started practicing this technique 4 years ago and from a total of 326 patients, 124 were men and 202 were women.
The first 50 patients were our “learning curve” and by keeping meticulous records and detailed descriptions of all stages of their recovery, we were able to minimize complications and provide more consistent and reproducible results.
We built solid protocols covering all preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative stages.

Results: Out of all the patients the vast majority had excellent results, especially the ones following the initinal 50-patient-learning-curve, were very satisfied with the outcome and had minor complications.

This advanced type of liposuction is associated with some technique-specific potential complications like skin burns that were treated conservatively, irregularities/asymmetry, seromas (that required draining), hematomas, skin laxity etc.

Conclusion: -The 4D Hi-Definition lipo is a safe method with good
and reproducible results
-It is a long and time consuming procedure (3-5 hours
approximately)
-It requires careful patient selection
-It has a long learning curve and should be performed by
experienced surgeons

Objectives: Artistically speaking the waist and back area form the appealing hourglass figure. Current studies show that among the factors of female attractiveness and sexual selection the midriff (waist) is a very important one. Therefore our goal when we perform liposuction to the waist-back is to create a waist as narrow as possible and as we go down the waist, the lateral part of the body should become wider and wider gradually. The widest part should be at the level of the hips.

Introduction: In order to achieve exactly this shape, the shape of hourglass, we developed the Papillon Τechnique (P.T.). The P.T. is a one incision liposuction technique to the flanks using ultrasound assisted liposuction. The marking is totally different than the traditional one. We mark 4 different triangles based in four anatomical landmarks. We perform different level liposuction to the upper triangles than to the lower ones. Because the marking resembles the wings of a butterfly we named it the Papillon Technique.

Materials / method: From Oct 2010 to Sept 2017 we performed the P.T. in 654 patients
Mean age was 35 years old (54-18)
Mean follow up was 3.5 years (7 years-6 months). 605 were women and 49 men. 354 patients had also liposuction to the abdomen or abdominoplasty.
We measured the waist circumference before the operation and 6 months after the procedure. Patients were categorized in 2 groups regarding the BMI: Group I: BMI 21-28, Group II: BMI 28-31. Patients were also requested to evaluate their aesthetic results in a 5 scale climax (poor, fair, good, very good, excellent).

Results: Reduced waist circumference was recorded in all patients.
Group I had a mean reduction of W.C. of 14 cm (5 cm-21 cm)
(645 patients),
Group II(7 patients) had a mean reduction of W.C. of 18 cm (12 cm-28 cm)75% of the patients marked their results as excellent, 15% as very good and 10% good.
All patients were pleased. Revision rate was 3% and the most usually reason was asymmetry

Conclusion: The papillon technique we propose can offer very pleasing results shaping the waist with only one incision, hiding in the intergluteal crease, and with remarkable precision.

Objectives: Our main objective was obtaining the best quality of skin, having less scars, attaining the best body lift in less steps.

Introduction: Patient usually after massive weight loss or Post Bariatric surgery comes to see the plastic surgeon after around 2 years to perform various types of different body lifts. And when the plastic surgeon performs the surgery (or multiple surgeries sometimes) might find disadvantages mainly due to the fact that the skin quality isn’t very good. Also the patient is left with multiple scars, which may require many steps of operation.

Materials / method: We started performing the first surgery ONLY 2 months after Gastric Sleeve
Afterward the second operation was performed 2 years later

Conclusion: Our main objective was obtaining the best quality of skin, having less scars, attaining the best body lift in less steps.
