Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of the use of carboxitherapy, mesotherapy and mesobotox for the management of several conditions related to the aging process: sagging skin, hyperpigmentation, and symptoms related to the lack of estrogens.
Keywords: Carboxitherapy, mesotherapy, mesotox.
Introduction: Treatment of tropism of the genital areas, such as with vulvar sagging skin or hyperpigmentation and vaginal dryness, though use of nonablative carboxytherapy or mesotherapy, as well as mesotox.
Materials / method: Patients, with vulvar sagging skin or hyperpigmentation and vaginal dryness, underwent a treatment that consisted of several applications of vulvar and vaginal carboxytherapy or several sessions of mesotherapy as well as the use of mesotox technique.
The procedure was painless, and there were no complications. Pictures of before-and-after, as well as the evaluation of patient’s satisfaction with the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), were done in the follow-up: immediately, and at one and at three months.
Results: A significant objective aesthetic improvement of the patient conditions was observed in all patients, post-treatment, in all follow up. Subjectively, VAS showed that all treated patients were satisfied with the final outcome achieved.
Conclusion: Our results show that the use of carboxitherapy, mesotherapy, and mesotox. effectively improves the aesthetic appearance of the external genitalia and symptoms related to the lack of estrogens, giving the vulva a younger appearance and achieving optimal patient satisfaction.
