Objectives: To introduce new HA filler product from safety perspective & introduce various safe techniques with scientific evidences.
Introduction: HA filler is one of the most common aesthetic procedure but still has complications such as delayed hypersensitivity and vascular compromises. Author tried to reveal the possible cause of these complications and preventions by scientific evidences.
Materials / method: 1. To reveal the possible cause of delayed hypersensitivity : Rheological tests and MOD tests
2. To perform safe nose injection : cadaveric study and ultrasound studies
3. To perform safe temple augmentation : temple augmentation with vein detection device.
4. To prevent vascular complications many doctors use small-bore needles. Is it OK physical and rheological properties of filler?
5. How much do we have to inject HYAL when skin necrosis?
6. Filler induced blindness and is there any prevention and treatment?
7. Is retrobulbar hyaluronidase injection an effective ?
Results: 1. Practical Guidelines for Hyaluronic Acid Soft-Tissue Filler Use. Won Lee, DS 2019
2. Nasal dorsum augmentation using soft tissue filler injection. Won Lee, JCD 2019
3. Novel technique of filler injection in the temple area. Won Lee, JPRAS 2018

6. Ocular complications from soft tissue filler injection, Won Lee, JCD accepted
7. Effectiveness of retrobulbar hyaluronidase injection in an iatrogenic blindness rabbit, PRS 2019
Conclusion: Hyaluronic acid filler is relatively a simple procedure but has possible complications. Author tried to share injection guidelines, preventions, complications cases, and possible treatments.
