Minimally Invasive Rejuvenation
Objectives: Techniques and recommendations for aesthetic treatment (fillers) of the lower face.
Introduction: In the lower face region, soft-tissue fillers play a important role and are used to provide structure and support. Treatment of the lips, perioral region, and chin, are used to maintain balance of the lower face with the face overall. Procedures on the lip should respect the projection of the lips on the profile view and the ratio of lip size to chin. The chin is often neglected, but reshaping the jawline can provide dramatic improvement in facial aesthetics.
Conclusion: Use of fillers, are well-tolerated and are effective nonsurgical modalities to achieve facial rejuvenation and recontouring of the lower face.
