Objectives: Fractional CO2 has been predominantly used to facial rejuvenation and Scar reduction. However being a versatile laser with multiple US FDA approvals it can be used for various other procedures which is not much documented .This talk will be about various other possible aesthetic and dermatological problems that can be treated with a CO2 laser.
Introduction: Fractional CO2 has always been one of the most versatile and must have lasers any aesthetic surgeon should have at their center. Having done more than 3000 cases with the help of a fractional CO2, I would like to highlight few unconventional uses of this laser in this presentation.
Materials / method: Multiple Dermatological and Aesthetic cases and possible treatment modality will be presented.
Conclusion: Fractional CO2 is a truly versatile laser. Once familiar with the laser physics and the parameters to use it’s 3 principles mainly Collagen denaturing and remodeling, Photothermolysis and Ablation can be used to perform various aesthetic procedures with great precision and results. It is definitely on of the first lasers any aesthetician should consider buying at their practise although the learning curve could be long.
