Objectives: learne what is a hybrid filler, how use it for facial rejuvenation and all differences with direct competitors.

Introduction: in 1999 PLLA was approved for facial indications in HIV pazients. Then PLLA was extensively used for facial rejuvenation in europe and in USA. This very well known material has some problems. Hybrid fillers, and in particular PDLLA + HA, tend to solve these problems and improve the results decreasing side effects

Materials / method: the Author presents his experience in the use of PDLLa+HA. This new hybrid filler has 2 formulations with less and more active principle. The first with less PDLLA + HA has an indication for tear through area and all periocular area over then the filling of all the face.
The second formulation with more mg of PDLLA + HA is indicated for facial rejuvenation and for many areas of the body like buttocks, arms, thights, belly neck and decolletè. The material must be diluted before use. some practical cases will be shown to exactly understant its characteristics.

Results: results are very good but need more time then HA since neocollagenesis takes time to raise. The fact that HA is injected with PDLLA changes the fact to have to wait many days to see the results of collagen stimulation. Instead the HA inside the hybrid filler gives a volumetrical result immediately until at least the stimolation with PDLLA starts to build new collagen.

Conclusion: these hybrid fillers with PDLLA + HA are really very promising. The very long experience with senior biostimolators tells us all the mistakes to avoid and the injection technique is really much easier. The strategy to sculpt the face is not changed. the administration with cannula makes their use very safe and with much less complications. All colleagues that want see practically how to inject hybrid fillers are invited to follow this practical satellite.
