Introduction: The increased use of laser and IPL has led to not only an increased incidence of reported complications, but also to a better understanding of such complications.

Materials / method: Understanding the laser safety tips and its practical importance plays a vital role in minimizing laser accidents and professional errors.

Results: There is a significant difference between professional errors and side effects as the former is preventable.

Conclusion: Understanding the practical base of laser safety classification, eye, skin, teeth, fire and electrical hazards of lasers is mandatory for anyone deals with laser systems to minimize laser
