Dr. Han-Oh Park has been the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of BIONEER Corporation since 1992. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Seoul National University in 1984 and completed a master's degree at KAIST in 1986, specializing in DNA synthesis. In 1992, he obtained his doctorate from KAIST, focusing on enzyme engineering. He founded BIONEER Corporation, which has been publicly traded on KOSDAQ since 2005. He was the first to commercialize and domesticate Nobel Prize-winning technologies, including DNA synthesis, PCR, sequencing, and siRNA, in Korea. He developed numerous gene-related patented technologies, and expanded the company’s reach from life sciences to molecular diagnostics, RNAi drug development, and cosmeceuticals. He has been honored with numerous awards including the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit for his contribution to the development of science technology and to the improvement of the competitiveness of the bio-industry in Korea. Currently, he holds key positions in several associations, including President of Korea R&D Industry Association, Co-Chairman of Korean Society for Synthetic Biology, Vice President of Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization, and member of The National Academy of Engineering of Korea. He also served as an advisory member of Presidential Advisory Council on Science & Technology.
