Dr. Weiguo Hu is Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Brest University and Chief of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Micro-and Hand Surgery of  Brest University Medical Center (CHU de Brest) in France since 2006. He is one of the academicians of the prestigious French Academy of Surgery (FAS) and currently serves as Past-President of the French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. 

Dr. Hu completed his plastic surgery residency at Bordeaux University Medical Center (CHU de Bordeaux) under the direction of his tutor, Professor Jacques Baudet, European pioneer of reconstructive microsurgery, and received his postgraduate degree with Diploma of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from Bordeaux Medical University in 1991 and the Certificate of the French College of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery achieving the rank of Major of his promotion in 1992.
