Objectives: The labial barcode remains a constant aesthetic demand from the lip-mental region which has given rise to many proposals depending on its depth, age, skin type, possible social constraints, etc. The choice of treatment will therefore not be unequivocal and will evolve according to the importance of the after-effects and the patient's determination.

Introduction: As a preventative measure, only very targeted injections of botulinum toxin can alleviate the Labial accordion and prevent its worsening; it leaves no trace but must be repeated every 4 to 5 months.
As a more effective treatment , hyaluronic acid injections are a useful but limited approach for a few isolated wrinkles that are not too marked; the acid must be not very cohesive to avoid prolonged over-corrections particularly visible here. The result is very temporary in this region with constant mimics.

Materials / method: Only sustained resurfacing will provide results that are both effective and prolonged, whatever the technique proposed (deep peeling, plasma, laser, etc.) at the cost of sometimes impressive consequences that can last several weeks, and the risk of permanent depigmentation on dark phototypes, making the procedure difficult to offer in patients who are professionally or socially active.
