Objectives: this study aims to evaluate the impact of Ti35 on skin quality in two patients, focusing on changes in elasticity and pigmentation. Through facial and cervical skin biopsies and histopathological analyses, the study seeks to characterize the effects of Ti35 on fibroblast proliferation, collagen fiber organization, and melanocyte distribution.
Introduction: Açaí (Euterpe oleracea) is a fruit native to the Amazon region, particularly found in Brazil, where it is widely consumed and recognized for its high nutritional value. Ti35 is an active compound derived from açaí extract, composed of p-coumaric acid, o-coumaric acid, naringenin, quercetin, vanillic acid, isovanillic acid, ferulic acid, isoferulic acid, hispidulin, rutin, proanthocyanidins, and epicatechin + catechin. Materials / method: This is a single-arm observational study. Two patients were included: Patient A, a 69-year-old male with no history of skin pathology, no prior exposure to dermatological or cosmetic treatments, and irregular sunscreen use. He was selected based on these characteristics to allow a comparative assessment of skin quality and aging severity before the topical application of Ti35. Patient B, a 53-year-old female with melasma, had prior exposure to dermatological treatments. Both patients were instructed to exclusively use the product under study, discontinuing any other skincare treatments.
Results: Skin fragments from both the facial and cervical regions from patient A showed atrophy with thinned interpapillary ridges, irregularly increased melanin pigmentation, and collagen fibers with a moderate degree of basophilic degeneration. After 90 days of continuous serum use, the new histopathological analysis revealed a diagnosis of papillary dermis fibrosis with fibroblast hyperplasia and collagen fibers forming parallel bundles to the epidermis.
