Objectives: To update the classification of treatment modalities for Inflammatory Alopecias.
Introduction: Introduction:
New discoveries have been made in the pathogenesis of Immune and Inflammatory Alopecias. This is relevant with regards to therapeutical modalities
Materials / method: We have reviewed 205 patients with Alopecia conditions such as Foliculitis Decalvans both in men and women, Lichen plano-pilaris, Frontal fibrosing alopecia, and Alopecia Areata. We have also studied the actual literature regarding treatments for these types of Alopecia.
Results: We propose a Therapeutical classification and approach to the treatment of Inflammatory Alopecias.
Conclusion: New treatment modalities should be introduced and considered in Inflammatory Alopecias.
