Dr. Mohammad Jafferany is Professor at Central Michigan University. Psychological aspects of Aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, Skin picking, trichotillomania and other psychocutaneous disorders are his particular interest. He is President of Association for Psychocutaneous Medicine of North America. He has more than 200 peer reviewed publications to his credit on various psychodermatological topics. He is the Editor/Author of books on Pediatric Psychodermatology, Geriatric Psychodermatology, Stress and Skin disorders, Trichotillomania, and Author of Essentials of Psychodermatology, Psychotrichology, Casebook of Psychodermatology and Handbook of Psychodermatology. He has written chapters on Psychocutaneous disorders in many textbooks. He is a researcher, writer, lecturer and teacher to medical students and residents. He has been invited as a speaker at major international conferences including American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology and European Society of Dermatology and Psychiatry. He has organized and conducted workshops and symposia on Psychodermatology in various parts of the world.
