Objectives: Describir de manera clara, concisa y precisa la anatomía ecográfica del rostro medio en escala de grises y Doppler color.

Introduction: En la actualidad el ultrasonido de alta resolución es la herramienta diagnóstica de elección para la visualización de las diferentes estructuras anatómicas del rostro, permite visualizar con precisión todas las capas de la piel, músculos, estructuras vasculares arteriales y venosas e identificar variantes anatómicas que facilitan procedimientos cosméticos exitosos y mas seguros.

Materials / method: De manera didáctica , a través de imágenes de ecografía de alta resolución y videos de Doppler facial se explica la anatomía del rostro medio.

Results: Se visualizan con precisión las diferentes estructuras anatómicas del rostro medio.

Conclusion: Es clara la utilidad del ultrasonido de alta resolución como herramienta que permite una clara identificación de la anatomía del rostro

Objectives: Review the main anatomical structures of the lower face with an ultrasonographic correlation.

Introduction: Proper knowledge of anatomy can facilitate the performance of aesthetic procedures improving the results and preventing complications

Materials / method: A review of the main structures of the lower face with ultrasonographic correlations and some anatomical variants that could be relevant for the performance of aesthetic procedures

Results: Ultrasound can detect the main structures of the lower face

Conclusion: The use of ultrasound can improve the detection of the structures of the lower face
